I'd want to know from the appearance and, I believe, so would most customers. The point being is that any well-known program or item will be considered thoroughly by customers. What you tell them better be the right concept and real.

Watchdog categories about and they are seeking your item to fail. Whether they consider you are promotion to an unsuitable industry (EX: Spykes promotion alcohol to children) or that your item packaging isn't informing the whole fact (Ex: McDonald's and all the other prepared made meals organizations and fat content), it's sure to become newsworthy and in the most severe situation could seriously effect your business.

Consumers are changeable. What is a hot issue these days may be gone the next day. However, in the temporary if you are not on focus on with the right item packaging concept you may push away them or power them to buy a opponent's item because your item packaging is not delivering the right item packaging concept.
